Language Development Center

Children’s language development begins long before they enter the classroom. Dr. Montessori asserted that children from birth to age six are in the age of the absorbent mind. During this time, children care able to learn language simply by living around others who are using language. Montessori classrooms incorporate both spoken and written language into the environment to further enrich this early learning.

Areas of Language:
Tracing, letter, and word recognition, learning phonetic sounds and sight words, using pencil, crayon marker to create letters, Talking, singing, Poetry, Stories, etc.

Mathematics Center

Montessori math materials help children approach math with hands-on, visual, and physical learning aids. These materials allow students to attach concrete knowledge to the often-abstract concepts in math.

Sensorial Center

The sensorial area in a Montessori classroom focuses on lessons and activities that help develop the five senses: seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling. The lessons and activities provided in the sensorial area of the classroom help children clarify, classify, and understand the world around.

Cultural studies

The Cultural studies area of the classroom encompasses a variety of subjects that are supplementary to the Montessori method.

Cultural subjects include Geography, Science, Botany, Zoology, art, music and multi culturalism.

Practical life Center

Practical life activities are the activities of everyday life, and they are involved in all aspects of life. The child observes these activities in the environment and grain knowledge through the real experience of how to accomplish life skills in purposeful way.

These activities encourage the mind to focus on the small details for accomplishing complex tasks, which eventually bring orderly refined movement.
